  • Mein Leben dauert 10 oder mehr Jahre. Jede Trennung von Dir wird für mich Leiden bedeuten. Bedenke es, eh Du mich anschaffst.
  • Gib mir Zeit, zu verstehen, was Du von mir verlangst!
  • Pflanze Vertrauen in mich – ich lebe davon!
  • Zürne nie lange und sperre mich nicht zur Strafe ein!
  • Du hast Deine Arbeit, dein Vergnügen, deine Familie – ich hab nur Dich!
  • Sprich manchmal mit mir! Wenn ich auch deine Worte nicht ganz verstehe, so doch deine Stimme, die sich an mich wendet.
  • Wisse: wie immer an mir gehandelt wird – ich vergesse es nie!
  • Bedenke, eh Du mich schlägst, dass meine Kiefer mit Leichtigkeit die Knöchelchen Deiner Hand zu verquetschen vermöchten – dass ich aber keinen Gebrauch von ihnen mache.
  • Sollte ich meine Pflichten nicht ordnungsgemäß nachkommen, bin bockig oder faul, bedenke: vielleicht plagt mich ungeeignetes Futter, vielleicht war ich zu lange der Sonne ausgesetzt oder habe ein verbrauchtes Herz.
  • Kümmere Dich um mich, wenn ich alt werde- auch Du wirst einmal alt sein!
  • Geh jeden schweren Gang mit mir! Sag nie: " Ich kann so etwas nicht sehen" oder "es soll in meiner Abwesendheit geschehen". Alles ist leichter für mich wenn Du bei mir bist.
